Because even tho we might not need one life is better when you can share it together..... it inbuilt in us to want someone we can love and trust and be intermate with ...

I was watching my son and his wife this evening ... they grumble to each other, smile at each other, he complains, she explains .... and I thought to myself "Here are two people SO happy with being together, travelling the same path, not needing anyone else to complete them", and it just got me to thinking WHY is there this need for one human to want another as a permanent companion? What is it that makes us lonely?
Any ideas on this strange mindset us humans have?... Other than the usual "Humans are tribal, blah blah".....?

Anyhow... Basically to cook my beans, darn my socks...wash the car...keep the bed warm those long cold winter nights..

Same here ..... to find a warm bum in the bed on a cold winters night when I been to the loo .......Someone to grate the carrot, onion, garlic for the bolognaise sauce....... To make sure the car has oil and gas .... Who knows how to set and follow the GPS thing ...... to knock the drunks out the way on the staircase at 4 in the morning coming out the pub ......Take the spiders outside .... Make the lawnmower start ...... Use a crowbar to demolish things ........ Ja, very good to have a partner in life.

smoky, darling, in the dark winter nights you look 'ok' and I am sure that you are better than a whisky bottle filled with hot water to keep one's feet warm!

Ja, I look very good in the dark, or from the back. Personally I prefer a whisky bottle filled with hot whisky ..... cause some people have cold bums.... and the bottle makes a nice noise when it rolls off the bed in the middle of the night, especially if there`s no carpet. And then there`s the added advantage that no-one can sneak up on me in the night when I`m surrounded by broken glass. And then I get to sleep for ages in the morning cause I cant get out of bed till someone`s called the Fire Brigade to airlift me out the window.....I do love to sleep late - and then go riding on the end of that rope thing dangling under the helicopter.You can tell I been all afternoon drinking wine under the shady trees outside the barn of the local wine maker, huh?
