In response to: well, I'm told.

If so, why?

Perhaps in the past men were more likely to fear commitment than women, but women were generally conditioned to believe that mariage and babies were the normal turn of events in their lis. Nowadays, as in so many aspects of our lives, one cannot differentiate on a gender basis.

I find that the longer I am single, the less appealing a serious relationship becomes. I actually prefer to be in a relationship, but not the "let´s move in together or get married" kind.

The word serious has different connotations though. I am in a relationship, it involves being faithful, so I suppose you could define it as serious. However, I do not want to take it that step further. I like my life, living alone, but with lots of friends and regular family visits from the UK.

I may change my mind in the future though.
