Why do girls never answer the IMs (16)

What is the point of having the use of IM on this website if nobody uses it. If a girl is online and I look at ther profile to see if it matches me, then if I like I IM then to see if they would like to chat, and I also think its quicker than sending a mail message, because I write the message and then when im finished they gone offline and it could be ages before they log back on again to read it. Is there anyone reading this post think the same as me???

Women on this sige get a lot of really ignorant people flashing and saying nasty things in IMs, so most have turned them off.
If you really want to get in touch with people use the blogs to express yourself or use the forums to make friends. Join in other people's threads. Take an interest in what is going on and get to know people that way.
Truly you can't blame women for turning off their IM's if they are getting nasty messages. Who wants to read that when you don't know the person even if they are just joking? I sure would be a little upset if I had messages like that from women if I didn't know them.
I think women should have a big red nukem button on this website for those who send them nasty or obscene messages can be nuked from this site. haha. Anyone agree?

I find IMs from people I don't know intrusive and when it flashes up on the screen, I have no idea who it is. So, I too keep mine turned off!

I don’t regard myself as a girl, but I keep my IM on. Though not sure why... There were a few very nice chats and a few less nice. The most encounters were just boring: it looked like the person who contacted me didn’t know what he wanted to say. The conversation at once turned into something between an employment interview and an interrogation. You feel like you are filling an official form... But I’m not looking for a job here, and I won’t say a word without my lawyer, and when all forms are filled there’s still nothing to talk about.
From my experience, it’s always better to exchange few letters before you would use IM. If you on the same wave length the correspondence will show that, if not – the correspondence will show that as well.

All you need is ...A kettle, water, whiskey,a spoon, sugar, coffee, some whipped cream and a glass.
1...Boil your kettle..
2...Heat glass slighty with the steam from the spout.
2a..Once heated put spoon into glass(stops it cracking)
3...Pour in boiling water..
4...Throw in some sugar and a wee drop of the hard stuff..
5...Mix it until there's no sugar.
6...Add your coffee

Oh I did and I thought it was great at the time! Wondered why I hadn't thought of it sooner. Went to 24 hour drinking next...and the rest has been about clawing back everything I lost in the process including myself.

I'm sorry to hear you have a problem with the amber nectar...And I wish you well on your road to recovery..
I don't have that problem..in that If I drink or don't, cuts no ice with me. I can take it or leave it...
I was serious..I have been known to have several beers for breaky...and not just on holidays..
But I know where you are coming from..once again stay on the wagon..fair play to you..

......but also Alcohol is a dangerous road to travel. I`ve watched people who think they drink only "socially", and then they HAVE to drink to be sociable! Then they find other excuses to drink. Then they have one day of not having a drink. Then the next day they feel they "deserve" a few drinks......and then they drinking 365 days anually.
One of the perks of getting to MY age is there`s not much time left to develop dependencies! Hence the reason we of my age are called Elders of the Tribe! We allowed to do all sorts of things you young ones should not dabble in..... We made our bucks, found and bought our place in the sun, we`ve done most of everything we ever wanted to do.
And as nice and enjoyable as waking up to an Irish Coffee might be ...... I still would prefer to enjoy the day with unblemished mind .... But maybe on Christmas Morning I will indulge myself
