We got two cats, and one is a Garfield (Ginger).

I was told that Ginger cats are Highly Intelligent, Very Active, and Randy as hell. Well we got his cajones sorted out when he was young.......... so that is no problem now.

He used to stalk me around the house all day .. him outside, and me inside .... and he`d find the window of the room I was in ..jump up and meow to be let in, or just sit out in the garden meowing at me. He loves open windows and when I air the house he charges around in and out the windows........

...Until, one day last week I was out for a few hours and came home to find him trapped in the V of the bathroom window (window that opens at the top, inwards) yeowling his head off, stretched about a metre long down the outside! Now he is cured of windows.

He is SO hungry all the time .. wants food non-stop... I figured he has worms. So I been trying to deworm him ..... tablets yesterday, mashed into a ball of mince ... he ate them......
Today he wont eat the mince! Got it down his throat this morning. But tonight he just walks in circles around it. Mashed the mince with the mashed tablet into other real juicy cat-food that he loves ..... and he managed to eat everything except the pieces of mince with the tablet!!!!!

Is that a "clever cat"?.. or What?!

I never liked this cat ...(he`s a "family" cat) but now I sort of getting a bit fond of him .... he realy is ugly! and a pest!... but....... something about his character is begining to grow on me ..........

Anyone else out there with a Garfield?

Yes. Well, he's not called Garfield - mostly we call him "the boss". He's not a proper cat - I think he's probably a wizard in a cat skin. He looks like a cat, but the behaviour is definitely part human - and a very superior human, at that! You don't disagree with him - and his orders have to be obeyed immediately. In return, he's pretty long suffering and cuddle-able, when he feels like it.

Rhiannon, thanks for that posting. When I was telling my sister about this particular cat ..... she said to me "Why do you think Garfield is a Ginger cat ...... cause ginger cats are like Garfield!"

This guy is called Tiger. We have his brother too, called originally Sputnik but it got changed, sort of naturally, after a couple weeks, to Pussnik (He`s a "pretty" cat with slanty eyes and black and white fur - big and bossy type - but Tiger always wins any arguments they have!)

15. Arrange for SPCA to collect mutant cat from hell and call local pet shop to see if they have any hamsters.

smoky: Thank you Conrad .... .. When I had MY OWN CAT .. a delightful Moggy ... that is how WE did it!.. her and I. Painless.

Other peoples cats - I dont fiddle with their mouths!

As I said elsewhere ..... I had intelligent animals. Don`t know why, they just were SO intelligent! They understood when I explained things to them.
Well, sometimes they do,but Cats usually have their own Ideas.grin
