My take on this is that journalists work is to find out what`s News - and Parents work is to just make sure the kids are doing okay......
Children ask questions cause they looking for answers. Politicians don`t ask questions - they just make statements, usually empty statements.....

Yeah journalists try to find the news as well as parent trying to make sure kids are okay. But as my late Dad used to say "Toute verite n'est pas bonne a dire"(All the truths are not welcome)
How many time did they have to apologize for some sensitive issues
Empty statements from politicians I have heard thousand of the them.But the best part of it is that they always got away with it.Because the speaker will come out and try to tell us we didn't it right
what about children telling some imaginary stories to get out of trouble??????

If you take the time, gently, to delve into their story, and tell them its okay to tell the truth - then they get used to telling the truth rather than lies to cover up - usually what they did out of innocence anyway......
