My Edition is a Translation into German.

Oooh ja! Maybe Africa got too suddenly developed? Maybe the colonial powers made them develop beyond their requirements too fast ..... Just think ... they missed out on things like Prohibition, Al Capone type things, their very own Wall Street Crash, Flapper fashions, inventing their own cars and bicycles, electric lights, piped water, they were forced into wearing things like suits and shoes .....!

Now if Portugal, Netherlands, Britain, had not invented sailing ships ....... well, besides I would probably be a nice fat German hausfrau shaking duvets out her windows ...... the entire African nation would be enjoying importing all your wondrous gadgets into their newly built brick/tile homes, having been left in peace to develop at its own pace, without colonial interferences!!!!! And Mr Mugabe would be probably shining shoes outside a railway station and studying by candlelight to better himself in a competitive world.Instead of which .....well you all know that story .......?....it`s called History....
