Elley: Three things that really hit me when I landed here....

1.Light so intense it was like having my eyelids peeled back.

2.Heat so hot like walking into a blazing inferno.

3.The smell of food so strong felt like I,d just got my sense of smell for the first time.

What about you.

Too many people crammed into too hot a place

Too many cars on roads full of potholes

Too little money to have any real fun, because of the cost of living/ salary imbalance.

Ja, but Malta is surrounded by water .... lots of rocks ... some beaches ..... a nice Ferry boat to go over to Gozo ..... lots of friendly people, nice pubs, cheap beer, cheap food (I not talking restaurants) ....... Gee, you can sit in the square, drink beer,, eat those yummy little pastry things they make, watch the interesting people ..... for a couple euros! There`s also lots of old and modern ruins to see...too .....grin

If you`re really bored you can sneak around and free the caged birds....devil

For the first, there is water everywhere, mostly as rain, but then you can have some fog, sometimes snow or hail. And then the river Göta. And of course the sea with many small islands.

Then hills. I doubt there is a one kilometer distance of a plain ground, it’s either uphill or downhill.

And as last: greenery. Always. Everywhere as water.

Running out of limit, but there are also squirrels and hares, and once I’ve seen a hedgehog trotting by my outplace… And seagulls…

Actually a very romantic town, with all the outdoor cafés, and friendly and helpful people.
