First snow .....! (63)
smoky: Today my village had its first snow! Lovely, beautiful ..... all floaty and white drifting down .......Gosh, imagine if the snow was black?!!!!! So I`m real grateful that its at least white! ... or if it was another colour...like red ... and afterwards everything was stained until the new spring growth manages to emerge green again?!

It is still snowing,about 5cm so far,though I doubt it will last!

Yep, we've had snow on and off for well over a month already, and more coming today. Also getting cooler every day throughout this week.
Haven't been outside without my long skivvies on for a while already, at least not for very long.
Dreaming of spring, or at least heat and greenery.

Ahh, snow - it's so beautiful when it still white, and there is lots and lots of it!! And fun! For kids. And big kids (aka 'adults'). And dogs. 
But not when you get back in and have to try and get all those icicles and snowballs out of their fur and paws...
And only for a limited time - like around Christmas and New Year's is about right. After that Spring can spring back into action.

Going home in 25 days. It's been 2 years since I have been back in Canada. I am being picked up at the airport and we are heading straight up to the Muskokas which is always a beautiful winter wonderland at this time of year. The old wood cottage is on Salmon Lake, not a lot of people, lots and lots and lots of forest, a bit of wildlife and a lovely lake on which we can make snow angels and skidoo. I cannot wait. It does not seems to snow much here in The Hague, but the wind storms are really cool.

I was over there 5 years ago and Christmas, and we went out for Christmas lunch, it was snowing hard when we came out, does that count?
It all depends on what part of Scotland costagirl,we do get lots of snow where i am but usually after Christmas, i hope you are fine and dandy lass..

It was quite close to Warrington, and yes I agree, Christmas is rarely snowy, but New Year often is.

Warrington is Cheshire England costagirl, i am fine and dandy and looking forward to a fortnights holiday from work over the Christmas period,good to hear you are enjoying life again..

I have nothing against snow, but I must not have it. It`s one thing to see, it falls at holidays, but it`s something different if you must drive. 2 years ago I was in Norway and I drove fruits from Oslo to Trondheim. I had minus 33 degrees and snow as well. This was a hard tour and therefore I need no more snow, for the next years.

I took on a jacket and went out, stood there for a while feeling how snowflakes touched my face…
