On plus side:

You like the inviting person.
You like the destination

On minus side:

?

I personally wouldn’t go to a Muslim country to meet a person I don’t know. And I wouldn’t do a journey that I can’t afford. But if I like someone here, and he would invite me to a place I’d like to go to, and I can afford it… So what is the problem?

And what's the problem???? If I did not want to give a clear and honest status about my situation I could have simply lied as a lot of people are actually doing.
We are in 2010 and life is no longer as when you were 20 my friend...and perhaps we should say unfortunately ...but anyway today it is like this.
I could write a book about my situation , which is not just an attached man looking for intimate encounters but this is not the right place.

The Thread is different than what I am and what I am looking for.

You asked me what I would do in a situation as I prospected in the thread. Well , if I could keep my freedom to do whatever I want , also leaving if I am not feeling comfortable then I would go.

Hi Kidatheart,

The point is : that you meet someone on CS ,you like this person, but you don't know her/him personally...the question is : till which point can you trust her/him?
Would you trust this person enough to accept an holiday invitation?

cheers

That would depend on the person in question. If I felt I could trust them, I would go.

I's also have a way out, if things should go sideways.

That’s a classical example of the old truth: it’s always better to say a lie that people want to hear, than to say truth that people don’t want to hear.laugh

I doubt it, unless I´d been communicating for some time and felt I knew the person pretty well. Even so I´d probably choose to stay in a hotel.

Sadly, and even though I have often travelled to other countries for work alone, I still think women have to be more cautious.

Yes I would go but I would stay in a hotel or B and B and be sure I have enough money to pay my own way. I am comfortable traveling alone so if things did not go well with the person I would be quite content to see the place alone. If you are shy and have not the resources to support yourself there I would say no don't go. A week can be a long time if you and the other person do not " connect".

Don't go to a muslim country. You could end up in jail.
