Long term: could give the impression that you're going to stick to the first guy/gal you date. And in cases where people like to test-out waters first, Long-term could scare them off (desperation). Same for Marriage.
If to avoid that you chooseDating: it could give the impression that one is happy doing the rounds with no intention of settling into a relationship which may not be the case.
Activity Partner: someone to go bowling with....or whatever!? But there are friends to do stuff with, so..PARTNER?
