I rent my flat and some maintaining matter, as plumbing, are included in the rent. Expensive all right but also convenient and fast. Have to say it was more expensive when I’s living in my ex’s house: he did everything himself, at first, as it was expensive to hire a specialist. Then, after countless trials to fix things on his own and a raw of bought details and instruments that didn’t help, he had to hire a specialist nonetheless.

well let's see..I know how to do brick laying, flooring, I can do electrical work, don't like to deal with plumbing though, can upholster fruniture, hang wall paper although I prefer a plastered wall, can build cabinets..so basically I don't need a handy man...can do all that and cook too rolling on the floor laughing

Quitter!!!

My baby-girl’s male parrot never draw no lines, nossir, especially at computer wires. We think he was electrician in his previous life. And gardener, as he doesn’t draw any lines when destroying pot-plants. And wall-paper (construction worker?). And furniture… and so on…

Some people can be outrageous when charging for a job.
Here it is not case, I live in a small city and in downtown, we know each other very well. My Plumber, mechanic, electrician, etc. are the same who do maintainance and repairs for me since years ago.

There is nothing on a house or a car that I can't do, and do well. No bragging, it's just that I've done it all for a living and have spent most of my life learning how to do everything, so I would never have to hire anyone or be dependent on another.

Well… after this parrot’s visit you’ll have a lot of things in need of change, not only a plug.

I attempt nothing DIY because I know I would be a complete failure.

I try to get friends, or friends or friends to get the DIY jobs done.
