There's half of your problem.......Ask her if she has had any bad experiences with some close being dependant on alochol..

Only you can really answer that Question!it depends if my friends dont come over i dont drink its more of a social thing rather than peer pressure but even sometimes when im with my friends i drink water or yogurt believe it or not. i own a vineyard we also make moonshine so alkohol has always been in the house there is wine on the table always and after diner i prefer milk. i dont have personality swings but can be moody.

Ja, well, different people have different views on most anything......
Some people eat a lot, and some can`t stop buying clothes ... or shoes...... or handbags......
And some people do not drink any alcohol, and some people do.
In my opinion, if you enjoy a few beers, and having some drinks with your friends at social occassions, and your girlfriend objects to that ...... well, then you are going to have eternal problems with this girlfriend, and your own way of life.
So, you got two options. Boils down to ..... either give up the beer, or her.
On the other hand ... I have also found that people with a certain type of personality defect use things to "dominate" others, and so, if this is the case, and you do give up drinking alcohol, then she may find something else for you to have to give up, for her. And this pattern will keep repeating itself..... until you no longer resemble the person you now are ... and you may be discarded.
I sound harsh, I know, but that is one of the realities of life. If a person truly loves you, they will accept you as you are, and in a quiet and gentle way persuade you along to their way of thinking - without placing restrictions on you. In other words, you will gladly change just to please yourself.

(Boy am I glad I found a roller-smoker/beer and whisky drinking/garlic/chillie eating partner! Life is so wonderful when not being nagged!)

It doesn't sound so bad,and if it's not effecting your health vitality,and you can happily go without for a few weeks,it doesn't sound to me like you have a drink problem.
I do however drink a lot less,pretty much once or twice a month,I'll socialise with a fair few beer's.I imagine I'd find it a little disturbing at first seeing my partner drinking much more often.I'd worry about the negative health aspects,and whether he was reacting to me,this way or that due to the beer.
Perhaps talk it out and come to some kind of understanding/compromise?
