Ja, HOW do you normally spend your New Years Eve?

Then find out what the locals in your area do ..........

If they are like the locals here in my village .... they do NOTHING .... then we made our own NY celebrations ... we invaded a local pub, with our guitar player, our singer, and just enjoyed ourselves!.....

.....Then slowly slowly, other locals began arriving and joining in ..... and enjoying it ....... and now we have established a "new" way for everyone here to celebrate! We`re "booked" for this New Years Eve ... to do the same as last year .... but this time it includes FREE drinks for us!drinking

Ja! HAHAAAA....grin

Actually, New Years Eve here is called "Sylvester" .....? And all the action seems to take place in the big city of Zurich!

Nada, nothing, here in this village! .. We found all the restaurants closed .. in the previous years ... only this one was open last year ... for a Private Party ..of Fondue eating by about 8 people..... which we invaded. OH was the lady who owned it happy when it turned into a huge success of an evening!

The place was packed by midnite and got even more packed till the sun came up! .. all rockin and rolling and banging tables and spoons, dancing on the tables .......And a whole new tradition was born!grin drinking

...or a broad with a broad b******e........?

Reminds me of when I spoke no German and I asked my friend at a party what is a "Glockenspiel"? ... She pointed to a lady sitting on a barstool, bum overflowing the sides and said "Dat ist ah Glockenspiel!"

Depends on what you like:

For food, you can't go wrong if you go to Grand Place. A bit pricey, though. Remember to make a reservation.

If you like dancing, there's the Ild Geese near Schumann (it's a pickup joint :-) )
Or the Irish at the town centre.

so what's it to be Nati? .. beer and mussels in brussels or you found some other form of entertainment that I totally missed in that city? .. you might strike lucky - an oogle at manneken pis in some fancy costume .. that'd maybe take up 20 minutes of the evening - nope .. mussels chocolate and beer in whatever order .. then a swift flight south to milano .. see you in piazza d'uomo 11pm .. your shout cheers

Thank you for replying to my post !
Eventually, I held a "Russian" party for 17 people at my place - plenty of russian food (stood all day in the kitchen) and vodka ! At 2 am we went out to Havana clubm which was quiet disappointing - overcrowded, hot and glass scattered on the floors. But the firs part of the evening was a blast!
