I am invited to Christmas dinner with close friends not presents exchange and I am requiered not to cook anything (I am a great cook just to have that clear) I will bring the table wine.

I'm off to the UK next week for 2 weeks. First Christmas with the family for 5 years so looking forward to it. Can see it now - 4 over-excited grandchildren aged 2 to 6 racing round all day. My daughter-in-law is cooking so I'll be in charge of the kids. Think I'll need a stiff drink or two to get me through it!
I'll be with my kids..lots of presents,turkey,a DVD,and probably a family game of monopoly..

There was a law in middle ages, selling slaughtered rabbits on marked place was only allowed with head on - to make sure that Sunday roast is not neighbors cat sauté
No recession here, specially in Germany the economic is booming, the unemployment rates decreased to the lowest level since ?? years, I can´t remember we ever had so much incoming headhunter calls in our German office.
This year I am not doing the cooking, my brother is taking over. I will be spending Christmas day with family and friends.

Ja, Maisie ........ a stiff drink does wonders! Just wrap it in your knitting and take a sip when the kids are not looking.... Much better to be a laid-back Granny, than an up-tight one!So .... enjoy yourself hey!
