EagleWoman: I use eye liner and a bit of mascara most days but not every day Sometimes a bit of powder (bronzing pearls) very little
Every now and then lipstick and may be light eye shadow as well as the above if I'm going to a party.
My make up routine has always taken me very little time between 3 minutes and 10 minutes
I always wear transparent nail lack. When I go out for more than 5 min, I use mascara and perfume. For special cases – powder and lipstick in natural colours: I find that too much make up makes you look like a transvestite. Not that I’ve got anything against transvestites, I just don’t want to look like one.

Yeah I found less make up looks better as I have gotten older ... Not that I ever wore much, but even the eye liner now I use more subtly

what make up means to me?
well a lot....
you don't want to see me early in the morning when I come out of bed...
make up.... it's like puting a mask on. I don't feel safe or secure without my mask. my eyes are the most beautiful and strong part of my face...so if I use my makeup well and put the emphasis on them, I take the attention off from less attractive parts of my face...
I use concealer, liquid make up, powder, blush, eyeshadow for smoky eyes or soft brown colors for that naked look, brown eyeliner, powder for the eyebrows, highlighter for that special glow, mascara, kiss proof lipstick, perfume and hairspray.
the trick is to take very good care of your skin because that is the basis of it all. so I use a good night and daycream and cleanse my skin the best way. if that is okay, make up will look okay. I use natural colors for daytime and black and grey or silver colors for night time.

I do use some make up for special occasions only. In fact my actual picture is from my son's weddings party and in that I got some but a person is the same after all. Beauty is inside, in the very heart.
I love make-up, always have since I was in my early teens. I wear less now than I did and it only takes me about 10 minutes to apply.
I use it for me and I know that because I´ll apply it even if I´m going to meet a female friend. It´s not about attracting a man whatsoever and I have no fear of a man seeing me first thing in the morning au natural. If he doesn´t like it, and I don´t think it´s happened yet, then he isn´t worth worrying about.
We all try to make the best of ourselves, male or female, whether by means of make-up, clothes or whatever. however much some try to deny it.

You are right, after 40 gravity kicks in and there is no return.
I wear mascara at all times, I think it opens my eyes and makes them look brighter. I also like a little lipstick but don't continue throught out the day or evening re applying it.
Face make I don't wear. When I have tried it, may face feels dirtythen I have to wash it off. I much prefer au natural, clean skin.
MAN67: You are right, after 40 gravity kicks in and there is no return.
Rubbish!!! What's gravity got to do with wearing make up on the face? Unless they've invented special "support" make up I never heard about
I agree with Meinme though about taking good care of skin, but that can be done very simply, drinking plenty of water and natural oils and aloe vera, without using chemical products
CuspofMagic: make up can enhance or hide- the real beauty of course is within
The real beauty is indeed within. But if you have to show it in some way, haven’t you? Otherwise people wouldn’t know that it is there. So make-up is a way to show a part of your inside beauty.
And by the way, it also shows our aesthetical preferences and satisfies our claims of being artistically talented.
smoky: How do girls win beauty pageants?...... By the clever use of make-up!
Ever seen a Beauty Queen without her make-up? I have ... she looked like a pale little mouse.......
The secret is in the Clever Use of Make-Up ..... not plastering it on.
So ... men who dislike women using make-up are mixing with the wrong women ... women who actually have no talent for the use of make-up!
And ... the women they admire for "not using make-up" are just being fooled by the womans skill in application!
Have had exactely this same "discussion" with some male friends in UK!!!! They maintained "such & such" DOES NOT wear make up and how natural blah blah blah... Had to point out to them "where" the make up was and "how"
