Strange ..... the only thing I brought with me to this country was my knitting needles and crochet hooks!!!!
.. and I hardly ever use them!
Had them all my life ..... collected every size .....just in case I want to make something!

I have several small ( fortunately ) pieces of china that my grandmother treasured. I promised her before she died that I would look after them for her when she passed on.
I could never part with them and hope a grandchild of mine will continue to look after them.
A promise is a promise !
Some cocktail dresses,I've had for years...I do love my clothes.. and my husbands letters to me.
I got a vinyl LP record collection that is worth tenthousands of $$. The most expensive and rare piece is worth somewere around 1500 dollar (bought it once at a church charity event for pocket money )

Oh, I have an idea. In fact, I have a lot of ideas. I mean that – a lot.
But you, of course know, that in 3 years, maximum, your computer will become ancient from all points of view and you’ll throw it away. So it’s not material, it’s ephemeral.

A collection of little stones and shells that my children would bring back over the years from their adventures. I always kept them, then one day realised I could fill a whole basket with them. I brought it to Spain with me and I have now added crystals of all colours and it's on display on a shelf.
Also kept the first few cards my children made for my b/day/Chrisrmas.
My grandmother's coffee cups.
A few bits of jewellery.
And I do like my books. In fact I choose those over items of furniture to bring over.
