Every night, before going to sleep, I promise myself I shall dream of a enormous, handsome, blue eyed gladiator, holding a rose between his teeth and sing an area for me.
it never works.
so far I have never seen such a character in real life....and never in my dreams
I never dream of hopes, never get answers to questions.
I just lay my head down, fall into a deep coma untill my alarm wants my attention.
no dreams for me....

Unless I'm dead beat tired, every night, I have happy thoughts and visions to accompany me into dreamland. Occasionally that has crept into my dream life.
Other dreams have been premonition type dreams, where the dream is extremely vivid, and whether through symbolism or other more direct visualisations, the dream did come true.
Other times, I wake up with 'the answer' or upon waking, arrive at a brilliant idea.(Not very often is latter!)
I do think we can direct our dreams more easily than we think.
