We’ve got a hare kid at the back-yard here (it has already bitten off a flower on one of my marigolds). And I’m trying to take a picture of it. But it’s too fast for me, and besides, the fate is against me: either the battery needs to be recharged or it’s too dark to take photos, or the hare is too far away. It’s going to die of old age before I’d manage to immortalize it.

Be ready for next time Tat!
Battery has to be always in full and your camera ready for those cute animals are faster than many of us (all?).
I have never seen a baby Hare.

About these lovely creatures called animals. I have being visited (well not me the flowers) by some Humming birds, so I got a water:sugar feeder for them. I hope to get some in pictures.

Have a great Sunday!

It’s not allowed to feed wild animals! professor

…though I did it when living in the Swedish country-side.laugh We’ve got a fox kid (and given my lack of imagination I’ve called it “Foxie”, (it’s never acknowledged me, so I drew the conclusion that it didn’t mind), that I fed for a month or so, and took few pictures of. Will try and find the CD with those photos.)

Meanwhile the pictures of the hare kid are sent.

Wild???
They are not wild. They are quite civilized and educated even some of them carry a Blackberry sometimes –although they eat it-!!!

doh

We had no rain for about 10 months (just some sprinkles here and there but not really a good rain) so those birdies and others came to my flowers for nectar even though I live very downtown because there were not enough flowers in the wild.

What animals feed on the humming birds?

I will post some pictures of my bird’s nectar feeder later on and if you see any changes on the world’s ecosystems it might be because of my feeding those little creatures.

She’s bribing ’em – not fair!!!!professor

Though one of the family-birdies bites you, bribe or not. Perhaps sharks are more grateful creatures than parrots. laugh

Thank you, it’s enchanting indeed!

Yes, for the most time the cage door is open and they can go in and out as they want. Which led to the following event:

The other day baby-girl was about to go out and took a sleeveless top from the wardrobe, a white one with very small black dots on. But after looking through the window and observing weather, she decided against it and took on something with sleeves instead. Off she went leaving the sleeveless top hanging on a hanger outside the wardrobe.

When she returned, she discovered that all the small black dots on the shoulder area were neatly chewed through.

- What’s that?!!! – baby-girl cried.

- No comments! – the perpetrator said, went into the cage and closed the door behind him.

Sorry Tat I could not avoid to laugh about the perpetrator Parrot.
It is quite interesting how animales -different of we homos- see things. For the Foxie, it is cute.

Jumping on the subjects.
I hope everything goes well next week. My prayers for your being fine.
Take sometime to relax before the event.

Take care!

Beautiful setting of plants like a treasure, a real treasure!!!
A question:
This plants have to be covered during winter time because of the low temperatures that could kill them, How do they cover the whole garden?

NASA Detects Planet Dancing With of suns!!!

wow

"From double sunrise to double sunset the show goes on, always changing.

Sometimes the orange sun rises first. Sometimes it is the red one, although they are never far apart in the sky and you can see them moving past each other, casting double shadows across the firmament and periodically crossing right in front of each other.

Such is life, if it were possible, on the latest addition to the pantheon of weird planets now known to exist outside the bounds of our own solar system.

It is the first planet, astronomers say, that has been definitely shown to be orbiting two stars at once, circling at a distance of 65 million miles a pair of stars that are themselves circling each other much more closely.

A team of astronomers using NASA’s Kepler planet-hunting spacecraft announced the discovery on Thursday in a paper published online in the journal Science, in a talk at a conference in Jackson Hole, Wyo., and in a news conference at NASA’s Ames Research Laboratory in Mountain View, Calif., Kepler’s headquarters.

Well… I’m not exactly sure, but my belief is that the large cactuses are in pots, and gardeners take them inside for winter. The smaller ones, I think they are “disposable”. They have some exotic plants in that garden, but the most of vegetation is either “local” or frost-resistant. There are also few long rows of different roses… when I lived in the country-side I covered mine with fir brunches for winter, and I think that here is the same. Though winters in Gothenburg are milder than in Uppland.

Glad to see you!
