Today I got a lovely mail from someone in the Special Forces

but I run a search for his name and profile info and I got this





I have already reported him.

He has been removed from this site but "he" might come back with other pictures and other profiles.

Although I would think "he" is already here with other pictures and profiles.

They resurrect all the time, and I actually don’t see any meaning in reporting them. When you know it’s a scammer, he (or she) can’t scam you. But there always may be a little doubt about a new face. I’ve noticed that scammers learning a subtler approach: instead of shoveling their e-mail address into your face at once, they start with an innocent letter that sometimes looks absolutely kosher.

I check their photo ratings and forums. There usually only 1 photo, with no or a very few persons who rated them (means they weren’t on the site for too long to get more “raters”), and no forum activity.

Scammers will always be present here or any other sites but I think that I must report them and if we all do we will have less of them.

You, me and most people will never send any money to anyone, but I have read some stories about unbelievable scams, that is brainless I know but it happens.

To correspond with someone I do prefer to do it with people that I meet at the forums and I do check his forum posts history for the date being here and for the content of his comments, his ratings, to whom he is friend with, to whom he is a fan of, etc, etc, etc, ….

Myself I am in only this site and I have not intention to be in another one. It can be such a waste of time even just being in one site.

I posted that info also because running the search for that captain there was a link from “another connecting site” that advertise itself as free of scammers, I doubt it.

There were days when I was a rookie on the internet, and there was a first scammer’s letter. I didn’t know then it was a scammer, but my first thought was: “Does he really expect an answer on thís?” It was just brain-dead note.

They changed their tactics some since those times, but the main feature remains: a very low IQ level. If anyone would answer such a letter, let alone send money… then you can’t save people from themselves. They are going to be scammed in one way or another, it’s just a matter of time.

When you report a scammer, you actually report his fake profile, nothing else. The scammer isn’t hurt in any way and doesn’t go anywere, he just makes another fake profile and continues his scam. If after reporting they would be arrested and charged, then yes, there’d be meaning in reporting them. But as things are now, I just don’t see the point in reporting.

I do believe in changes for the better and I know that I must be the change I want to see.

What I can do and will always do is report the “supposedly scammers” and that is up to CS to follow the report and do something about it.

How much worth is this CS place regarding to commercial value?

I have not idea but just the computer program to operate must have cost several hundred thousand of dollars and counting with the modifications, improving, changing, adjusting, etc. etc. besides the expenses for the personnel, hosting place, the backups, etcc…….

CS owner(s) would like this business of them to prosper and the way it will is to have some credibility and that means the least scammers the better for them and the better for the CS users.

When scammers are reported CS can block their IP.
I know Scammers can get another one IP and so on.

The reason for reporting scammers is:

To take care for other persons not to be scammed?
No, that is not my idea.
