....but open to the guys too. I see there are so many beautiful, and I mean beautiful, women here on CS, so what's gone wrong with the normal dating scene? You know, going out to a club, or wherever, and meeting a guy in normal circumstances?

The question applies to you also.

So what are your reasons?

Was that a backhanded compliment? laugh

Seriously though, I cannot for the life of me understand why very young beautiful girls are here, it would have been the last thing on my mind when I was younger. There is so much to do in the real world especially when you are in your late teens or twenties.

As for me Mr Nosey Parker, it was also the last thing I ever expected to do and my daughter thinks I'm crazy for being here. But she naturaly loves me and thinks I don't need to resort to Internet dating! I was married for a long time, we are still great friends, I had a relationship with an obsessively jealous man who still tries to contact me, and one lonely night I logged into CS out of curiosity.

Here I am, but I still prefer the real world and meeting people face to face.

first I don´t belong to the beautiful peoples clubbing dating category roll eyes anymore dancing
but in other activities like sport, courses of your interest are good, at least you meet people interested in the same subject.
I can highly recommend things like a course in gourmet cooking and wine tasting... wine at least you can be sure he will cook for you cheering kiss

Not a backhanded compliment at all, it is not required.

Your right about the beautiful young girls on the site.

But maybe they are just shy (like myslf) or find going out to clubs intimidating.

Did not mean to pry Jan, just after a basic explanation.

Oh sorry I didn't mean to offend and I didn't think you were prying. I have nothing to hide and I am always truthful so I gave it to you.

Perhaps you are right, but I was a very shy young girl and never had a problem having dates in the convential way so what has changed?

Sorry (seem to be saying that a lot) but have you been to any clubs lately Jan?

Most of the ones I have been to recently (UK only) are full of young kids rolling round drunk and seeing who can throw up first. Even my 2 daughters 28 and 18 are not keen on the club scene (in UK I add)

Of the more sophisticated clubs (cost an arm and a leg to enter) most of the people are couples with very few single people there.

I have no idea what it is like in Europe as a whole but I have been to some in Germany and Italy where its much the same as UK.

By the way you didn't offend me, as you know from my posts I'm too laid back to be offended.

Thanks Gypsy, you too are very young and I really can't understand why you have a problem dating in the real world. I think that a lot of people are hiding behind a photo and profile, and are perhaps scared of 'full on' exposure as happens on a night out.

Ir's different for older people who perhaps don't go out much due to family/children ,and in these cases, dating sites are an easier option for meeting somebody.

I think you are making a concerted effort to rubbish my responses to all threads today, well so be it. However, I did not single anyone out and if you spent a little more time reading thoroughly the threads before you post you would have realised this.

Gypsy has responded with no malice so what is your problem? My question was general. Read it again.

Jan, I think I may have spoilt this thread, as it was really addressed to the ladies (although you do say open to guys also).

But these were just my opinions and I did not mean to answer for the beautiful ladies on here.

So I will now leave it alone.
