in which european countries can you get free healthcare for non workers (22)
EagleWoman: Was at my medical centre thos morn querying why my medical card had not yet arrived ... the guy there seemed think restrictions had been put in place and only fully employed residents are entitled to full medical cover... Anyone else only basic and emergencies ...
Although I´m Spanish I spent all my life abroad (France & UK) and all my contributions in my working life have been paid in UK.
Now I´m back to country of birth (and all ancestors Spanish) as full time resident no one seems to know what to do with me
The guy didn´t know what I was talking about when I mentioned the new sep 2012 "guidelines"
He´s ringing me tomorrow (so he says ) to tell me what he´s managed to find out...

BUT I got my new medical/health card in the post today, so I´m guessing he DID do something!!!
