This site isnt really working. If you have a contact it usually fades away because women take so much time to reply, sometimes days, so the moment is lost.
I think many people are not really here for dating, more for attention and showing off.

I agree with the previous answer.
It is a site for the odd chance you live an international life and have a real chance of meeting someone abroad.
If not, leave this site alone cause its a waste of time and lost hopes and dreams.

I have to agree. Most connections tend to fade into the shadows, no matter how well they start, and the frequency of the initial emailing.
People stop writing.
Profiles suddenly disappearing just when you're about to reply etc etc.....
And others game playing, messing about, wasting people's time.

In my opinion - yes, need time! Sometimes more time than you expect!
3, 6 months or even year. Everything is individual! Simply last 10+ years dating sites changed a lot and many people are disappointed from "landscape", but go ahead---> and use keys and mouse proper ;)

neither you, nor the site; but some people who are in the site. Some dont know what they want, although they express they want something.
There are quite interesting people here, some are more expressive, and some are shy. Just give time, and read blogs/foruns and match with profiles. (you can find some thoughts expressed)

I think that some woman are so digusted with the hundreds of scammers here that they are just careful. I am. For have been here a year now and all I met where scammers. Men who want to go direktly to yahoo and chat you up. I ask now if they have skype and then they just do not answer any more. I just come here now to read the blogs and look around. I am getting sick and tired of god fearing men pfff.

This site was wonderful a few years ago.
People bantered back and forth, in "conversations", and a few made plans to meet. Some actually did meet up, and others met their friends in real life, and came back to inform and say goodbye.
We had a lot of "cyber fun" back then - with regular threads that went on for ages, real funny most of the time, with good reparté.
I`m one of the real oldies on this site, and the only reason I return here, is because there are still a few "old friends" here, but mostly I just use the site to play a couple of the games, intent on beating my scores.
I met my partner in real life - not here.
This is just a place to while away a rainy/snowy day. And to realise how inane most of the comments are, which is a reflection of how boring internet life is.
And the reason for the site is the owners are obviously making a lot of money with their advertising - which is what it`s all about, actually. Just money.

I dont even bother to look at the women online, let alone to contact them.
Its impossible to make contact with someone who replies maybe days later and then in just one sentence.

It is not you... at times the contact is not even made as people dont even bother to reply.. a simple hi or thank you but not interested... then as many stated... the contact fades cause of long delays... at times I wonder if certain people are genuinely here to meet and chat or just place a profile for the sake of having a profile!
It's not you. It is the whole myth of online dating. Yes busy working people, lonely unemployed people, strange sociopathic/psycopathic folk etc etc use online dating but truth be told, and in my experience, it is a scam. Not one of the many dates I've had from here have been recognisable either in appearance or in profile stated personality and many are here to flirt only and stroke their egos because it just doesn't work in the real world where they are in full view!
Chat, discuss, debate here only, it can be fun, but go out in the real world to meet real people.

ummm... can I say something positive?? I'm not negating anyone else's experience but, as a Londoner now living in a tiny village in the mountains of Tuscany, and during a fairly brutal winter here where I spent a lot of time at home by necessity (snowed in!), I've had fun on this site. Yes, 95% scammers, but they are easy to spot, no?
I have found genuine, witty, entertaining, considerate people to talk to, from all over, and even the occasional spark with someone, so who knows? I signed up at the end of December as an antidote to the winter.. and, I have to say, the long winter evenings have just flown by!!
Perhaps I've been lucky, if so, I wish more of the same for you..

The answer is very simple ...Women do not know what they want...but for sure they recognize it when is found.
My suggestion is ...please forgot the theory, because men like to build a big big theory about everything, and when you are emailing with a girl be very concrete, ask her going out with you from the begining. Women are very practical, and living in the present, they get bored when using to many words. So, according my experience, you have to find a girl very close to your location, and ask her out, emailing is loosing of time.
You have to think about Casanova .... he was very direct.

This site is to find relasionships of any kind but I am sure that 90% of people here don't care any relasionship and they got a profile just for curiosity. I am sure what I want and may be the people who wrote here is sure too but there are just some people like that here that's the problem. When you are interested in something you just go for it but if most of people here is interested in nothing then that's why this site some times is really bored. My opinion of course.

I have been here for a little while, and i cant say i have come in contact with so manny people in the same age as me.
And i was wondering if its just me, my profile, or are people just afraid to answer, or to take contact with me.
Or is it just that i need more time here?.
