blinker1948: I would like to find if there are other people with this same idea.
True - in my case, so forgive me Minds for a harm (if any), but I believe in Hearts and with my very limited English was trying to speak to Them... seems there is no at this site a Heart singing like this one:

You are right on a certain way, but the conditioning entourage is not everything. We are our own directors and faith can't be controlled. There are many adults each year who choose and need to practice a religion even when they have been raised in atheist families and vice versa I think it belongs to the domains of ones personal lifepath and them approach of the mysteries of this Universe and the mystical sense they possibly want to give them. Interesting thread, thank you
Glatlol: How can believing a story that is so obviously made up make a person stronger?
In my opinion, Religion relies on the fear of NOT believing.
Therefore, yes, weaker people prefer not to take chances just in case there is an after life. So they choose to believe.
In any case, that should not pose a problem in itself. There is space for everyone. The problem lies with people who insist that all are converted to their beliefs.
my mom who brought me up was an atheist, and i am an atheist.
I have and still live in extremely religious societies that more than often attempt to convert me or at least persuade me of the validity and/or soundness of religious claims.
at the same time and for the past 32.8 years i'm accumulating information and knowledge around religions which only redirects me every time to my humble self-centered atheism.
I believe currently there's enough information passed around on the subject, that people who have enough access to the internet so that they can subscribe to an internet dating site shouldn't even sugest it can be conditioned. In an era of choices and "self"-proclaimed liberty for western globalized societies, being conditioned to believe in something seems to me a bit far-fetched and an excuse for someone not to accept responsibility and pay the cost of their beliefs.
so,- to recapitulate, dodging your responsibilities and being blindered to the world around you can be conditioned and religion is a perfect way to do so, but faith is a personal standpoint that nowadays can be -and in my opinion it IS- a matter of choices.
