Hello! I used to be an active user here about 10 years ago. I met a lot of friends, and I even met my ex-husband here. Unfortunately, after 10 years, it didn't work out, but I still keep in touch with my friends from here.
What I don't understand is that so many people are searching for love even in these groups, but no one seems to be making any effort to reach out to one another. These groups are literally dormant!

I believe the few men here who may be in search of a real relationship, often choose the wrong women, they go for the much younger ones who will give them video entertainment; ultimately, the result is, they find out that those women are only interested in their money. So there are as many women Scammers as much as there are men Scammers. Please refer to my earlier comment as well.
I agree with you 100%. Most of the men here are not interested in a serious relationship, especially the older ones, I'm surprised at their behavior, they behave like teenagers, they say they're looking for a serious relationship; however, when you try to establish contact with them on or off the site, you quickly realize that they are in communication with three or four women at a time, most of them are also addicted to the dating site, they don't want to leave, they're just here to chat with women, then they ask you to send photos of yourself so they can add to their huge collection of women. It seems impossible to find a genuine guy online, they are either Scammers, or Players! I was able to identify and block the Scammers, because by now I know all the signs. Like you, I'm tempted to give up on finding the right guy online, I came here several times to delete my profile, but I always got another empty promise from a guy. Another thing I see they do, is to view your profile several times, and this is for their own sick, selfish gratification, I removed several of my photos for that reason.
I'm waiting for someone, someone who is willing to come into my life and share my joys and sorrows, someone who knows that I have been waiting endlessly and cherishes me even more, someone who may not be able to participate in my yesterday but is willing to walk hand in hand with me. A person who lives every tomorrow, a person who knows that I am not perfect but still likes me and even appreciates my imperfections.
Men beware of scamming lady from Congo she faked someones picture and she says her father and mother were killed. Shes in Senegal at the moment, took refuge. Her father left money for her and she wants you to invest for her. She wants this story to be kept a secret. So I told her send me the police report. NEVER heard from her. Please Beware.

From my experience with online dating, most men I've met they just want to video chat for their own sick disgusting pleasure, or they want you to get naked, there are women out there who's willing to do that, but I'm not one of them! Then there are the scammers who believes that women my age are lonely and desperate, again I don't fall into that category, I may be lonely, but certainly not desperate!
From this webpage I already met women in real life. My experience. She goes on a date, to have a reason to leave her comfort zone and make a new experience. In one case she traveled almost 100 miles for some coffee, cold drinks and light dinner. Often you see each other a few times until the relationship comes to a mutual end. Women don't like going out alone. If you mark an interest in her, she may go with you to zoo, cinema, theater, galleries, musicals, weekend travel. Sure, she could do that with a female friend. But meeting a new guy, creates a distraction from the life before she met you. Often there is no queue of guys approaching her. It's the fakes and scammers who knock on her profile. So she is happy if she can meet a real person. That is what the women are telling me.
You listed some of the attributes I would expect from a Good Woman. There are few more. In case she has hobbies like collecting Shoes, Handbags, Scarfs, Jewellery - I would expect her to have a source of income for that. Like her parents, employer, business, brothers and sisters.
Not everyone is a Chef and Queen of the Household. Despite two left hands, she could practice becoming more proficient in it - quarter by quarter.
Some self-assurance would not cause any harm when being a Good Woman.
A drivers license for a Yacht or Boat or the ability to ride a horse is a nice to have extra and not expected from a Good Woman.
