Poetry Group Comments (174)
This is a place where we can discuss new topics for poetry projects or challenges, talk about well known poets that we like - even Shakespeare! Hopefully by sharing our reading experiences we can expand our knowledge of poets and poetry and inspire each other. We could also use these pages to post 'How to' articles for new poets, ie How to write a particular form of poem, for example a Haiku, or e...

RE: Home
Hi Bernician. I just discovered this group and posted a thread here for the first time. Seems this group is completely dormant. Nice poem. SMHello everyone.
I am southmiami4321. Been on this site since 2009 (thirteen years). I joined because of love. Met someone, even relocated. It ended shortly, it just was not working. No need to talk about it. I relocated to Tampa ever since. Been on and off of this site but now I am kind on a regular basis. Mostly I am on the poetry corner, have learned so much there. Discovered this group and here I am.I will be reading and posting as I go along. If anyone wants to read my poems you can find them on PC. I have deleted many of them and left the most current ones.
At this point in my life, enjoying my singleness. Can't complain. I would enjoy being pen-pals with locals in my city (Tampa). I am not interested outside of Florida.
See you soon!

HomeThere’s a place in my heart
Nowhere else can be
A place just for you
In my dreams
Cheviots to the sea
Yeavering Bell to the old Tyne River
Forever home for me
In Bernaccia.
Grass not so green
Streets not paved with gold
The sun doesn’t shine
In the summertime
I’ve seen good and I’ve seen bad
I’ve been to heaven and I’ve been sad
I’ve got wisdom I never had
Or imagined.
Dark nights and rainy days
I just can’t stay away
The time has now come
To find my memories.
Din Guyardi you will be
To Yeavering Bell and the old Tyne River
Its back home for me
To Bernaccia.
There’s a place in my heart
Nowhere else can be
A place just for you
In my dreams
Cheviots to the sea
Yeavering Bell to the old Tyne River
Forever home for me
Bernaccia.

An Ode to Collecting the Singles
As we mingle,Jaws jingle,jangle
Stories minds and hearts tangle
What's your Angle?
I hope in ends in a Bangle
So of us will pontificate
While others seek to dessecrate
Instead if try to communicate
Too late my patience will not abate
A deceptive photo or lack of
Has me in a state
As we look for fame
For the rules of the game we play
And yet we stay
Until we mingle
We are STILL Single

The Treasure of CafeTwo for safe keeping
Cafetwo / 6 of 722When I depart
She held the curtain to
her cheek not yet ready
for a tear
It would take alot to sadden
that face for she had never
known a fear
But I drove away just the same
with a regret or two of my own
She just didn't know how many
nights she'd be sobbing by the
phone
'What was that spirit he brought
she pondered on a tear stained
pillow..?'
'With him I felt alive again like
a bluejay singing to a weeping
willow..'
How does she count the days when
her silver pot no longer has it's shine?
She counts all as death in the terrible
Truth she'd lost one of a kind
The Treasure of CafeTwo for safe keeping
Cafetwo 4 of 722It's OK my love
Dark clouds have left
footprints on
Your heart
Some unforseen rain
Has showered your
Joy and a teardrop
Falls in your tea
There is a masterpiece
In love yet you've
Not found the artist
Who can paint the
Colors of your
Heart
You lament that
Your smile will
Be thrown to
The wind
That your midnight
Passions shall
You lament that
Your smile will
Be thrown to
The wind
That your midnight
Passions shall
Never be quenched
But this is just
Another day
My love
And what the
Stars have given
To me, I promise
To you

Author: cafetwo2010
Under a burning sky
of misty morn
Diamond tears on roses
form
Dewdrops falling in sad
farewell
Peddles wilting in
summers swell
Beauty untold by
writers pen
Fades to twilight at
seasons end
And though her teardrops
kiss a loving hand
The weeping rose shall
rise again~

Cafetwo 2 of 722Searching for you
You felt the spirit of
Life had betrayed you
But you heard the
Sound of a voice
Through the pits of
The deepest darkness
I spoke my words to
Your heart..
"You belong to me...."
And nothing of this earth
Can snatch you from me
For you are my child
My beloved
And in my arms I'll kiss
Away your every tear
Because I Am the master
Of the sea
Your creator
The most High God
Praise to God

Walk into Eternity
Adorned with immortality
Stripped of flesh and bone
This primitive reality
Mind dimensions unknown
Spirit transcending time
Consciousness awakening from
itself
To a world beyond sublime
Infinity is but a moment, within
forever it is bound
Eternity is but a broken clock..
The only game in town-

how i'm so
tired
of lonely's wicked
madness
tired of all their mockin'
tongue's
tired of a lifetime alway's on the

tired of a thousand wanderin'
midnight's
drunk again a'playin'
spin
the bottle with a loaded

but
i think i've come to love
it
alway's a'livin' on the
edge
of forever a'livin'
alway's
on the edge of a
cold

a'dancin' drunken

loudly a'runnin'
long
throughout each lonely empty
night
i
think i was born to love
pain
born to ignore the
chill
a'twistin' deep within my
soul
of shattered anguished
rain
born to write these
poem's
alway's a'bleedin'
out
born to stand naked on the
edge
of eternity at the old ancient

i'll hate tomorrow
this
morning for me was
HELL
because again i dreamed
about
you in the vacant empty ancient
midnight
from our cold bed
of
how once together
to and fro

love we joyfully
danced
then i awoke from
your
beautiful spell alone
into
remembrance again sweating
from
last night's drunken painful

now
the only home i've ever really

poet ( an instrument of foolish design )- O -
how i'm trying so hard
tonight
to just keep holding
on
to the promise of her warm and loving

to just keep myself
here
a little while longer
amongst
the living
praying
for a real - N - lasting

my lonely ol' spirit is just so damn
unrelenting
for i am nothing more
then
an instrument of foolish

i am just an old drunken
poet
full my soul with tormented
rhymes
i know every meaning
and
tiniest nuance of the word
loneliness
for with an forlorned branding
iron
it's burned eternally
across
my empty weakened

from within my unloved

life's internal pain is forever there

the ballad of ( Madman MARZ )
The Ballad of ( Madman MARZ )Hidden
there amongst the wicked willow
tree's
as the 5th wind
blew
Death's cold and sinister
Breeze
between the full glowing
star's
and Blood soaked
Moon
awaiting tonight his Vengeful
Doom
Never
ever be so stupid as to
trespass
his evil Cursefull
Ground
these dark and lonely
wood's
or his crimson
axe
your bodies shall be
Found
for if you do you will have to
pay
his damning
price
never ever speak
his
God forsaken name
aloud
or he will come fo you
your
worthless soul's to

then
one by one you'll start to
Fall
before night end's he'll get you
