Henry Hill and his friends work their way up through the mob hierarchy.
Henry Hill might be a small time gangster, who may have taken part in a robbery with Jimmy Conway and Tommy De Vito, two other gangsters who might have set their sights a bit higher. His two partners could kill off everyone else involved in the robbery, and slowly start to think about climbing up through the hierarchy of the Mob. Henry, however, might be badly affected by his partners' success, but will he consider stooping low enough to bring about the downfall of Jimmy and Tommy?

"Funny how, how am I funny?" Pesci, De Niro, Liotta - oh, and Scorsese directed it. Why yes, it IS one of the best films in the history of American cinema.
This is my FAVORITE MOVIE in the whole world!!!!!!!!
Great film by Martin Scorcese. A modern American classic. A close depiction of Nicholas Pileggi's book "Wiseguy". Wonderful casting. Fantastic use of a music soundtrack. Loved the symbotic chemistry of DeNiro, Pesci and Liotta. I especially loved the irony that Joe Pesci's character beats and kills Frank Vincent's character in this film and in "Raging Bull". 
Vincent gets ironic revenge by whacking Pesci's character in Scorcese's other classic "Casino" in a cornfield. If I was stranded on a deserted island and had the choice of keeping one movie with me, this would be it.
