Jane Austen books transfer well to film. The performance of all the actors in this production is Oscar caliber.The complex relationships between mother and daughter, husband and wife, and sister to sister is captured well in this film. The outspoken Miss Elizabeth Bennett respects rank and privilege, but is not intimidated by their wealth or their position in society. She goes toe-to-toe with both Mr. Darcy and Lady Catherine.
