In 1960, seven pre-teen outcasts fight an evil demon who poses as a child-killing clown. Thirty years later, they reunite to stop the demon once and for all when it returns to their hometown.

This movie was kinda slow, but it did have some funny parts to it.
Never read the book. But I really enjoyed this movie. Particularly the social factor between friends and all. Stephen King's Dreamcatcher reminded me bits of this. :)
The scariest movie of all. Unfortunately I saw it when I was a child. I´m afraid of clowns since then. Too bad. 
The first half of the story covers the younger years of a group of friends and goes onto there older years, but will this evil creature haunt them forever? Watch and find out....
Stephen King is the best Terror writer ever, these movies are great but to be amazed by his work you must watch "Dream Catcher", and "Room 1408" that give you that kind of Intelligent suspense..just loved them!
I love this film, but after watching it as a child, it still frightens me to this day. No-one makes a horror quite like Steven King.
i know right,,,this is the only horror movie that still freaks me out to this day,,and IM 36yrs. old...LOL
this movie is a little slow at the beginning but the creepiest part is when there in the library
I guess for a lot of people this is an unpleasant scary mini-series. But for me, it's fun scary. The first half is the best part. 
I love Stephen King! I love Pennywise..he's an interesting character.
I saw it when I was about 5, now I have my own clown mask I wear every year for Halloween. My daughter loves it! We all float down here.
