I like the plot, even though I never played baseball; I enjoyed seeing how the main character (K.Costner) Billy Chapel is trying to play his perfect game.....One day he gets injured, and he his torn between his physical limits, his career issues and trying to figure out which place love has in his life: disoriented, he pushes Jane away.
What I like about this movie, is that they avoided the quick, easy happy ending, and instead focused a bit on his struggle to understand what really mattered in his life: and it's nice to see how a man can still be self-confident, with a great personality and still be able to admit his own limits, and acknowledge that he can learn something from a woman.
So Billy goes looking for Jane: understanding what was missing in his life, and how he had wounded her.
I enjoyed this movie!
