I liked this movie because it showed how even a mathematical genius is prone to develop Schizophrenia though the text books says that this illness is found only amongst low class people.Unfortunately USA has not taken the mental health policy very seriously.I liked this movie because due to depressive illness and due to autistic traits I lost many things. My parents and sister died early due to financial constraints. My marriage ended in a divorce.People called me mad and made fun of me.They do not know what madness is and that hundreds of other diagnoses also exists in the DSM criteria. It was touching to see John Nash after being thrown out of his post lifting the waste basket and trying to help his wife.He does it all awkwardly. He puts the baby in the tub, turns on the tap and walks away, not knowing that his son will get drowned very soon. That son too has become a mathematician and he also suffers from his fathers ailment which of course is not shown in the movie. His facial features coarsen after the intake of anti psychotics towards the end,was well shown.I was only a bit confused in the scene where he was experiencing visual hallucinations of Russian spies plotting against him.In the middle of his lecture he is shown to run away from the class.Depicting visual hallucinations is difficult.I dont know if that shot was convincing enough.Did he get good treatment?I doubt.Otherwise why did he have to spend thirty long years in an assylum. When he gets the Nobel price,he says that something like, only love is more......
