Thrilled by a performance she sees at a fair, Sonora (Gabrielle Anwar) tries to land a spot as a daredevil who rides horses off of high dives. With the help of Al Carver (Michael Schoeffling), whose father runs the show, Sonora works toward her goal. An injury to star rider Marie (Kathleen York) paves her way, and Sonora finds herself on the diving platform. Her life looks complete now that she and Al are in love, but Sonora is about to be thrust into a very trying.

A great movie grew up with has a great casts. The lovely Gabrielle Anwar ( Burn Notice )(this is one of her younger roles she is still great in this movie) and her leading man love interest actor Michael Schoeffling (Mermaids,Sixteen Candels " Jake Ryan") charming Disney is based on a true story. It's a variation on the old boy-runs-away-to-join-the-circus story, except this time the boy is a girl. After she joins a traveling show in the 1930s, spunky teen Sonora Webster (Gabrielle Anwar) learns the ropes and eventually lands a plum role in the program: riding a horse off a 40-foot-high diving board into a tank of water. Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken has the usual love interest, a brush with tragedy, and some worldly wisdom.
