The first time I've listented to John Scofield, I was blown away by his musicianship as a jazz fusion guitarist, jamming with everyone from Medeski, Martin and Wood to John Mayer. And this album En Route was no different. Recorded live at NYC's Blue Note Jazz Club in December 2004, Scofield jammed with fellow musicians, Bill Stewart on the drums and Steve Swallows on the bass. I could not stop playing the CD because it's just a remarkable album. En Route compliments anyone's taste in jazz-from modern to the underground.
