Big Mama Thornton rocks!! ... She was the first artist to record "Hound Dog"...much as I like some of Elvis's stuff, I think her version is fantastic...much better!

Didn't know which catagory to put her in really - she really covers rhymn and blues, blues and rock n' roll! Might see if I can get a you tube video of her for you.
