Lindisfarne’s second album released in1971 was the first I ever bought before we even had a decent turntable to play it on. A delightful mix of folk and rock styles, totally right for the time, it was their breakthrough album and turned out to be the biggest UK seller of 1972…quite some feat, but there did seem to be a copy in every home in the North East at least! Still one of my absolute favourites, played regularly… in my opinion one of those timeless, perfect records with no boring ‘filler’ tracks.
An absolute classic.
