A quick listen to Ludacris's 'How Low' begs the question: Was this supposed to be on the Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel soundtrack? No. But it is the first cut from his latest album, "Battle of the Sexes." And if you can tune out the squeaky voice, the video--which is much more creative than your average chain blingin' hip hop video--is worth watching.

Ludacris's 'How Low' video opens up with some sexy shorties at a slumber party discussing the latest urban legend: if you dance low enough in front of a mirror, Ludacris will appear. A play on the old "Candy Man/Bloody Mary" legend everyone tried (and failed) as a kid. But hey, the Ludacris spin isn't on Snopes yet, so you can't blame the girls for trying.

Booty dancin' commences. A few seconds of gettin' low was all that was needed to summon Ludacris. Yeah, they're that good. His glowing head appears in the mirror, Wizard of Oz-style. The bedroom booty dancers get excited and the gyrating moves intensify--causing Ludacris and a conga line of booty dancers to bust through the mirror and crash the girls' pajama party.

Sure, 'How Low' isn't a groundbreaking video. It probably won't be remembered 10 years from now. But it's fun, creative, and exactly what you'd expect from a rapper known for his lighthearted, quirky songs. Much better than your run-of-the-mill rap video with dozens of half-naked girls dancing in a club.
