Here we have an interesting French pop rock band called The Liminanas. Formed in 2009, the band incorporates 1960s punk rock and obscure aspects of the yé-yé scene as well as many other influences such as unique Western and cult film soundtracks, the Velvet Underground, and early girl bands. The music genres that best outline their wide ranging music efforts are alternative, indie, garage rock, neo-psychedelic, experimental, and French pop. The band's core is Lionel and Marie Liminanas. In this performance of the song entitled the Garden of Love, Nika Leeflang is the singer-guitarist, who is from Holland (Dutch/Hollander). She has performed with The Liminanas on numerous occasions and often sings in English, plays tambourine and guitar. It is important to note that this song (included in the album entitled "Malamore," released in 2016) is sung by Marie Liminanas who had just recently learned enough English to perform it; you can certainly hear her French accent, which is attractive in its own right. However, I like Ms. Leeflang's performance of it better, especially in this live performance, as it's subdued and with a seductive allure; and, she also performed live the song entitled "Crank" with The Liminanas at the Leeflang venue (i.e., a "garage"). Lastly, take a look at The Liminanas' music video that highlighted their tune "Down Underground" (released in 2010) from their album entitled "The Liminanas." It's all cool! Check'em out!!
