He's got this song in my head. Things aren't the best between us, but I'm flying out to see him this weekend. I'll keep an open mind. He may woo me still . . .who knows. If not, well at least I get a nice 2 week get-away to Pompano Beach, while nursing him Post-op. He's instructed to keep his ankle elevated for 2 to 3 weeks. I'm really hoping it's not much longer than my visit, because that was the whole reason I agreed to let him fly me down, despite the fact that his finances are currently tight. He lives alone, and I used to work for an Orthopedic practice. I know how crucially important it is to have help when yer post-op from Spinal/Back/Hip/Knee/Ankle/Foot surgery.

I couldn't stop thinkin about it, and it was giving me anxiety knowing he'd be home alone to fend for himself, while his foot's supposed to be propped up. How's he gonna bathe, get to toilet, cook, reach the dishes to serve himself food, wash those dishes so as not to provide a feast for the occasional palmetto bug that makes it into the apartment, etc. My mind's effin reeling here. I'm serious, I was waiting to either get my 3rd stimulus check and to split the cost of my visit, but didn't want to totally put it off on him. He's no where near broke, but he IS on a very tight budget because his company owes him like 6 months (or more) of backpay. Being an Engineer with a doctorate, I can't even imagine how much $$ he has coming to him.

But, flying me out will still be cheaper than him hiring a nurse, plus he can't be intimate with the nurse

Ehhh, we'll see what unfolds. Hope we both enjoy each other's company and that's the extent of it. I like Florida, but hurricane season stressed me the eff out last time I was living there. Really have no plans to move back, even though he keeps dropping me subliminals of wanting me to stay with him.
