this song was on his final album, "the wind". in less than two weeks after the album's release, warren was gone at the age of 56. his songs ranged from zany to heartfelt. many of them resonate deep in my soul. long overdue for a place in the rock & roll hall of fame. he has a place in my heart along with many others. just listened to "the wind". it must have been tough to work on it knowing you don't have much time left. it's defiant, reflective and emotional. zevon didn't know any other way.......
