I love to see the dawn again Another day begin Another chance to play life's games Another chance to win Another chance to make amends For things I've said and done My yesterday's beginnings May not be left undone Perhaps I'll plant another seed Whose growth I'll never see Then someone else will come along To nurture it for me For dawn you see Like life itself Is only a beginning It's what we do with after dawn That makes it worth the winning

About this poem:
I have always been a cheerleader for life and feel strongly that each day is worth winning to accomplish all we can and help make the world a better place.
Thank you, QuietStormF, for your nice comments and encouragement. I agree with you that there's much talent among the poetry contributors on here. It's fun to be among all of you and share so much of who we are and how we see the world around us. mymoonbeam

Dawn my favorite time of day.beautifully written.Loved the lines,"Perhaps I'll plant.......to nurture it for me."
My thanks to all of you who have commented on this poem of mine. I especially appreciate it coming from you who write so beautifully yourselves and, as I read what you have written, I realize I am among people who truly care. It's interesting to note that although we are often from different countries, it doesn't matter and we share our thoughts and feelings with each other, with no hesitation. Do you think perhaps we are doing more for the common good than world leaders and politicians? How great is that??!!
