There was a time
When the sky was blue
When the sun shone on my face
In a place I belonged;
Rays of peace, warmth
unending joy.
Lost now
To a cloud of sorrow,
Shadows of lost harmony
Darken my path;
A pain within my soul
Rekindled
Ignited again by the lightning
Of deeds past;
Forsaken again
Am I.
