Love's Entrance

Do you feel the quickening of my heart,
as love sneaks quietly in the door?
It is your kindly presence which excites
my inner self,
causing my heart to leap and bound.
Where did you come from, love?
Were you waiting for a space
within my heart,
or was your heart
floating elsewhere,
until this time, this place.
Speak not of love,
except through your heart.
Then I shall know its truth.

Thanks, Andrew. I have been busy working to promote my newly published novel. The promotional part of it is more work than writing it. I'm happy to be back and now I can take some time to read the great poetry on this site.
