I dream all throughout the night
I suddenly wake up, realize where I am, and wonder about my plight

I'm alone, feeling empty and heart broken
It's as if I was giving a speech to a crowd and miss spoken

The embarrassment of it all
Love gone amiss is such a long fall

I ponder on the days events
and know that I will have to be in her mist

After all, she is my boss.

Oh, the tumults of the mind
How could I have let love be so blind

Now I have nothing
while she continues to enjoy the fruits of life, I'm left huffing and puffing

Her heart appears numb to our once untamed love
She continues her daily routine and has seemed to rise above

I'm left standing as a statue in the mist of a foggy garden
I pray to the Gods above that my heart stays tender and doesn't harden

Why did I have to awake to these memories of torment and pain
I do so pray that I find peace today
