The Pro

She gave him what he needed
He probably gave her fifty bucks
She was no sniveling whiner
No proponent of "Life Sucks".

They achieved a bond together
Were joined at more than crotch
Neither one departed
Feeling they'd carved another notch.

Tears glistened as she told him
"No reflection on your charm
I care. I hate to leave you
But I need sompin' in my arm."

The street has a hidden darkness
That not everyone can see.
He knew he couldn't "save" her
And what will be will be.
