Dreaming Within A Dream

I keep wanting to dream within my dreams~
Direct my subconscious self as I do my conscious self.

As I watch the dream unfold~
I can't stay in the background.

Yet~I find myself, standing on the sidelines~
Unable to be the director of my dreams.

I attempt to voice my concerns~
Only to find I silence myself.

Can I not make the decisions I want and need~
Do I silence myself out of fear or anger.

Dreaming within a dream~
Awaken, renewed, yet~still confused.

Wonderful amahlala, I have realy tried that too, but come the nice ending puff away it goes, maybe in life we direct better.

I have heard it said that it is possible to direct your dreams and thus traverse the astral plane. Never been able to myself, though... Nice, thought-provoking write!

lucid dreaming, is possible...but difficult to learn. as long as the dreams end, i'm ok with them. phew. nice write amahlala! sidelined, yet not in the background...what a cool way of looking at it.

i never dream, in sleep, but do eternally in wakefulness, perhaps, i can direct the scene, if i could but sleep and dream lovely poem, amahlala.

Thank you Gotitall! When dreaming for me, if it is a good dream, it is in color, if a bad dream, then black and white. I've yet to get the hang of daydreaming.
