Accountability

When one does a foolish thing
Of which they can't disclaim
Even if admitting fault
Will bring them total shame

Rise above the shallow pride
And in a proud voice proclaim,
"I Take Responsibility!"
..If there is no one to blame.

Hi, ReaderOfSouls,
Thankfully, most things we do in life won't result in total shame and "I Take Responsibility!" is something we all should learn how to say, when appropriate, in love and life. We humans do, however, have an uncanny way of finding someone else to blame.

Thank you ladies, for your kind words. wine It's all too easy to blame another when all we have to do is look at our self in the first place. bouquet

I've known people who always find someone else to blame, even when cought red-handed, and people with martyr complexes who try to shoulder the sins of the world... Taking responsibility for your own actions is one definitiion of sanity. Very astute! wine

We can all learn. wine cowboy
