His heart is good, his words are true He never hurts or stumbles And he has given me the world In spite of all my failings
He taught me all I knew About this strange life in a foreign land And as I failed as I so often do, He always lent a helping hand I only hope my sins will be forgiven My frailty, humanity forgotten
Although I find this poem somewhat religious, I felt it had a nice flow at the end. I believe we are all forgiven at the end of life, but I disagree about humanity forgotten. Humanity in my view cannot be forgotten although it is inferior to divinity. It is a poem that makes one wonder about life, so all in all I enjoyed it.
