Nothing's futile

I've done so much - possess but almost little,
I've thought so much - my mind is clear page,
I've striven much - my efforts proved so futile,
I've spent so much - resources came to end.
I've fought for love - love would retreat and rear,
I've rushed to catch - it fled for good without trace.
I've tried myself in vain in many spheres,
And then I told myself: Hey, you, it's not the end.
What if you made another effort,
What if you took another chance.

About this poem:
The idea is very simple - just keep going, keep trying. I am happy if this poem sounds reassuring.

Hi, marikia,
Hey, you, it's not the end. What if you made another effort... Such good advice from the "I" who does, thinks, strives, spends, fights for life! In that, there is no disgrace!

Great comments, thanks. Disgrace was purely for the rhyme's sake. I'll try to do something with it.
