The less - the better

The less you ask the better -
Leave questions to the fall.
The less you give the better -
The less I'll pay for loss.
The less you squander promise -
The less you'll ask in kind.
The less I think of loving -
The less I care for life.
Keep making false impression,
Keep thinking: she is mine.
My life like barren ground
Is nourished on ... lies.

marikia, hedi said it better than i EVER could. cynicism or joy, the adage holds true i think, if you believe it, then it is true. we all get down sometimes.

in terms of "stuff" less is more, yes. in terms of love, you get what you give, IMHO...just what i believe. ;-]

hmmm i had a good think about this, and wonder is it from a heart once soft that has been badly hurt and hardened. forgiveness softens the heart and lets you be you again, that same soft gentle person that you may have left behind. if the original real you can step forward complete you can feel much more fulfilled and happy and full of giving again. hug thumbs up bouquet bouquet

Thanks, dears, there is much to think about in what you say. It is better that I sorted this matter out somehow. If I ever am able to do it or if it is ever worth it. You all showed a great concern nourished with good advice. Thank you very much and Merry Christmas!

Hi Marikia

Free verse is a skill I have been unable to master, you do it so very well with this poem....

Kind regards
