"Admonished"

Did I REMIND of something,
REPROVE in any way,
ADVISED you ... take my COUNCIL,
Or WARNED against black spell?

First took the word for granted,
Then tried to get it right.
What was amiss, I wonder,
Or was it quite all right?

If only you could tell me,
What was the point you made.
"Admonished" was your answer,
That came to me through mail.

If only you could help me,
And put me on right track,
The word has many meanings,
Which is the one you meant?

Oh yes Marikia...one word many meanings and various spellings usually, depending on the country that the reference is associated. I have a different dictionary for different forms of writing, and one of my tutors who edits and acts as agent Worldwide, collects them, One comes it two parts it's so huge, and purchased on a holiday to Australia.
But I have been taught now to never believe the computer spell check.....Clever write...

Fellsman, it seems quite clear,
I think I understand,
But I prefer for sure
Our Ladybee's comment.

Hi, marikia,
Yes, language is quite challenging and written language, without voice inflection, is even more so. Knowing the context of the remark adds understanding, too. Communication between people is so very important; and, when people matter to each other, they take the time to help each other understand. The narrator has asked the question. Now, they must await the answer.

A beautiful comment, gnj, and so intelligent. I like your comments in general and always lend my ear to whatever you happen to say, my dear, thank you very much. And many thanks to everyone, who participated, for your kindest remarks.
