With that comes true compassion, making you kind,
With the loss of bad feelings and the sense of being confined,
Do only kind things, to you and others combined,
For if you don't, the world, to you, will stay blind.

It will increase your happiness, trust me I know,
For once I was selfish, but glad it's "ago",
I hurt myself and others for show,
Even gave up on me and let myself go.

For once I feared those that had no fear of me,
It made me hate, now I know wasn't key,
For hate eats everything inside, soul, compassion and chi,
Might as well learn nothing new in life and stick with T.V.

From now on if you see someone who needs help,
(the "stranger" the quicker, the lesson of self-help),
You see, once you helped, you get the real feeling of joy,
You'll suddenly feel like the hero of Troy.

See? you don't need a partner to do all these things,
Do something compassionate and see what it brings,
Might be witnessed by an "angel in your eyes"...without any wings,
And become your partner, so now there's two compassionate beings.

And round and round this cycle should go,
Until someone has helped someone you know,
This process, if practiced for long enough,
Would ensure a more peaceful world, one not as rough.

And why aren't more people helping each other?
Is compassion and humility so shameful, it's best kept undercover?
"If you do this, people would take advantage",
Well, I say "why expect something back?" like you couldn't manage,
And to those that say "this ideal is a weakness",
I say "it's the strongest way to be and...=(...confirms my uniqueness".
